 Capital International, Inc. (CII) is the investment manager for the Capital International Private Equity Funds (CIPEF). CII's private equity investing program dates back to 1992. Our private equity team has invested over $2 billion in 69 investments across 25 countries and 30 sectors. CII's entry into emerging markets private equity investing was a natural extension of CII's leading presence as a global emerging markets investment manager. As of June 30, 2009, CII had over $22 billion in emerging markets assets under management and over 20 years of emerging markets investing experience. CII is a subsidiary of Capital Group International, Inc. (CGII), which had over $130 billion in assets under management as March 31, 2009. Our dedicated private equity team consists of 21 investment professionals. These individuals are part of a globally integrated in-house network of over 110 research analysts at CGII, including an emerging markets team of 22 research analysts as of June 30, 2009. On average, members of our private equity team have 16 years' investment experience and members of the investment committee of the Capital International Private Equity Funds have over 30 years' investment experience. |
